Happy Mother's Day To Me

My new Dyson. I never thought the day would come when I would be happily asking for a new vacuum as a gift. But, it has come. And this thing is fascinating--I love the clear container that holds all the dirt/dust/hair/crumbs simply because I can see how well it is cleaning. Fun. Vacuuming is fun. I suddenly feel very, very domestic typing that last sentence...

I feel the exact same way now that I have a Dyson. I sing its praises and actually look forward to seeing how much dust/dirt/etc. that I can pick up in one use. Such a nerdy, old lady excitement! Oh well.

Oooh I am so jealous!!! I've mentioned to Clayton several times that I want that vacuum and each time I get the talk on how our vacuum repair man said our vacuum is a great vacuum... Let's just say it's a hand me down from his grandmother and the thing will NOT die - trust me I've tried kill it many times.

The Dyson is the best. NOTHING comes close to it! Congratulations on a useful and truly fun mother's day present.

Rob says: You suck dirt and so does your vacuum. You'd better lock it in a secure location when we visit or he might try to sneak out with it! Funny how our ideas of the perfect present evolve with our needs, huh? :)

I love mine. I vacuumed the family room with my Oreck, then vacuumed the same room with my new Dyson (when we still had Lego and his dog hair). The Dyson picked up a cup's worth more stuff. I agree, it's so fun to see the stuff it captures! Happy vacuuming!

yes my dear. I envy you at the moment. I have a crappy vacuum and I keep having to borrow our renters because it smells like mine is going to blow up! I bought it 2 years ago too...dumb.
