Lovin' It

My sweet Bentley sure knows how to make the most of his Christmas gifts. He has been playing like crazy now that we are spending more time at home instead of rushing off to holiday parties. He has been so anxious to use his new apron from Nanny to help make cookies or wash bottles, his kid-size snow shovel from Santa, his Rescue Heroes vest and utility belt (sometimes worn in league with the snow shovel or apron), his Shake and Crash racers from Grandma Bobbi, and his Bob the Builder Tool table. I might add that he is loving any and all Hot Wheels/cars/trucks, his Cars tub-time soaps, his new Color Wonders pad and Caroline's new movie Barbie in The 12 Dancing Princesses. Yes, he is even starting to memorize lines and quote them back to us such as "Derek is sooo cute." As a result of this development, Joseph rented Transformers a few days ago and has been watching various fight and car racing scenes with him--a more manly option by far. Now Bentley loves to say "Optimus Prime is the bestest guy!" (a more suitable alternative :)

Thank you to all who made my little boy's Christmas so delightful! He is such a lucky child to have so many loving people in his life. And I love you all too :)

Beans seems to have no prpblem entertaining himself and now with all these fun new things I am sure he is even better at that. I am loving the Barbie quotes being replaced (maybe not completely?) by Transformers. That definitely sounds like something Ben would do. Cute cute Beans. Love him.

So sweet. Isn't it nice to have kids entertained by so many fun, new things this time of year? We are slowly getting around to all of the great Christmas gifts because the kids have been more focused on the Wii and Xbox. But it is great to have those other things when they need a change. It was a really great Christmas!
Good for you for capturing Bean with all of his new stuff. He looks so happy! Now, if you want to borrow a dress from Maddie for him to wear during 12 Dancing Princesses, that can be arranged. Just kidding Joe! Good on ya for exposing him to racing and transformers!

I loved the happy, relaxed days after Christmas with kids busy with their new toys. I remember Legos being built, Victorian Play House, Cabbage Patch Kids, American Girls dolls, Playmobile, car racing sets, Walkmans, new books, etc. Lots of fun. Thanks for sharing Beans adventures with us all--we love him! Who was so smart to get him a snow shovel?!

Sisi has that movie too -12 princesses. I think that is so funny he'd quote those lines. I think we're going to have a princess party for sisi and tillie and beans will do fabulous because...he is sooo cute. :)
