This Year's 4th

Another beautiful 4th of July up in the mountains! This year we had my little sis and her family with us which hasn't happened in years. Great playtime for all these cousins in the beloved cabin! Heidi's little blondies were such fun friends for my kids and made us all excited about heading to the rodeo—a western novelty for kiddos from Minnesota!

Joseph pounded out one of his many long runs in preparation for his September marathon.
(I drove my bike down to Kimball Junction to get in a swift ride around Swaner Preserve before Joseph finished his run—that way I could give him a ride back up to the cabin to save his legs a little.)

4th of July in patriotic clothes (of course!)

In the evening these cuties got all decked out for the rodeo.

I can't get enough of this sassy girl! Love her bright blue eyes and awesome little pose.

Thanks to Uncle Ben for keeping Luke home along with his tiny Abby. These olders did beautifully through the whole thing (even though I could tell Livs was getting really bored at the end :)

Love this picture of my sis and me with our sweet little cowgirls!

It was a great 4th--I agree! Especially fun to have Heidi's fam here. Your kids were so welcoming to them, loved all the cousin comaraderie.
