...all of last month's General Conference talks and musical numbers are available for free download as iTunes podcasts? Get them. Right now, as you read this. They are just plain good for the soul.
And once you have them, listen to the 3 hymns sung in the Priesthood session by the BYU combined men's chorus. They are so beautiful and such powerful songs--some of my new favorites thanks to these arrangements. There's just something so rich and engaging about a men's chorus.
This MP3 format of conference has made it so easy for me to listen to a conference talk or hymn while I prepare meals or sweep the floor (my new fave right?). And because they are all in my iTunes it only took 2 minutes to transfer them to my iPod so I can listen when on the go.
Just this afternoon I listened to Elder Uchtdorf's talk from the General Young Women's meeting. It's a keeper, even for us "not so young" women. Listen to it here when you get a few minutes.
**for those who need a little guidance:
1) Open iTunes and go to the iTunes store.
2) Select the "Podcasts" tab from the top menu bar and then do a search in the upper right hand corner for LDS General Conference.
3) Look for this icon when it brings up results, click on it and then choose the "subscribe free" button.
4) They will download into your podcasts in iTunes.

I appreciate the heads up and the specific directions, but I have no idea what "podcasts in iTunes" means or if I have them--and if I do, how do I find them? Maybe Dad will know what this means! Sorry, I am so clueless when it comes to iTunes stuff. But I will listen to the music and songs from lds.org. Want to come give me some training?
Thank-you!!! I was going to go out and buy the CD's and do all that importing work! This makes it so much easier!
Mom--I can come help you. LDS.org doesn't have the hymns from the sessions so you'll want these.
If Dad helps: if you have iTunes, you have a Podcasts section--4th item down in your Library heading...that's where these would end up after you download them.
I'll have to get back to this post when I have some time for reading and listening. I definitely do need these though since I hardly heard a word of conference this year. Usually reading works better for me but I may give the listen a go if I can.
Isn't technology so helpful now? I appreciate all that the church does to help us have easy access to the gospel on a daily basis.
