Silver Lake with Mom

While Joseph was away in Florida we found lots of ways to fill our long summer days. One afternoon we met up with my Mom to hike around Cecret Lake. It was fairly empty up there (but maybe because it's still just spring that high in the mountains! We found a lot of lingering patches of snow which these kids jumped right into...so much gusto :)

 So fun to explore a dirty patch of snow in the summer!

We drove down to Solitude to meet my dad for dinner. The main restaurant we were going to hit didn't open for another week (it's really not summer up there yet!) so we grabbed pizza from their little hotel restaurant and wandered around the resort grounds for a bit. I love taking my babies into these mountains — they were a huge part of my youth and it still makes me happy to be in them!
