We swam, the kids rode bikes, we all played outside on the grass while Livs slept, and then we packed ourselves up and headed out for a hike.
My mom stole Max from his mama for a few days so she could catch a little R&R with the new baby. They met us in the canyon straight from their drive from Vegas.
Love this little girl. She was one amazing hiker yesterday--running ahead and always leading the pack. She loved it!
Let's talk about my babe for a minute. Just after dinner last night she took her very first steps!! She was roaming between my mom and Joseph and suddenly walked all on her own for about 3 seconds. Yay Olivia! She got so hyper about it and bouncy and wild that she couldn't really take anymore unassisted steps--it was exciting and adorable. And fun to have Grandma Bobbi here to witness it with us.
Joseph was happy he didn't miss the big moment as he was just getting ready to head home for the rest of the week. The big kids and I walked him out to his car and as he drove slowly down the street, Bentley and Cares followed closely (Beans on his scooter and Cares on a big wheel.) Those little ones were not ready to let their Daddy leave. And Joseph could hardly muster up the will to finally speed away from us. We miss him a lot...

I was so glad Max and I got there in time for the hike. An extra big thanks to Joseph for carrying Max in the heat. It's great to be here with you In SG. Bean and Cares are a big help with Max, so patient and kind to him. And hooray for Livs taking her first steps--so fun to see her excitement!
Is this an announcement?!!!! 4 kids. wahoo. :) okay I love the first baby steps that is too fun. And the hike looks like fun. My kids (kai) is a major wuss hiking. It kills me.
Best aunt and uncle ever! You guys are so great to Max, thanks for including him and to Joe for lugging him around! Sorry he is being naughty now.
And go Livies! I hope to see some walking action this weekend...
I am so proud!!! And how great that Joe was still there for it! I am anxious to see her strut her stuff...and for her to show Connor how it is done. He took a couple steps to me in Page when we were at the McDonalds but hasn't done it again since. Stinker.
What a lovely hiking day. Those are great pictures.
What is this about Max being naughty?
