an excerpt from this article:
Primary children sing, "I Love to See the Temple" (Children's Songbook, 95). Some parents take their children to visit temple grounds, wanting the youngsters to feel of the spirit of the place, to sense its sacredness, to develop a love for temples.
Without doubt, these parents want their children not only to touch the temple when they are young but also, as they grow older, to be touched by the temple.
Yes, temples can touch us as much — more so — than we can touch them. When we go to a temple, we touch its solid surfaces, but the temple touches us on a deeper level. It touches the spirit.
May we ever yearn to be in the temple, the House of the Lord, and may we always be prepared to feel its touch in our lives.

Cares and Beans make such a cute little duo. That is a beautiful temple and beautiful family!
Doesn't Olivia have some gold gladiator sandals like Cares?
I had forgotten all about there being a temple in Newport Beach. What a perfect place to go on the sabbath. You are doing a good job of sharing your love for the Gospel with your children.
I needed this reminder today...thanks.
Beautiful photos! Newport Temple is so pretty and I am sure the kids enjoyed being there. I know that their little spirits can sense the holiness of that place.
Hope your trip is going well so far! We miss you!!! We got home last night and Maddie came in today asking if she could call Lindsey or Grace. I told her that they were on vacation and she said, "Well, can I at least call Caroline?" When I broke the bad news to her, she lost it. We might need you to just come to our house and stay overnight when you get back!
Hey you! You are 10 miles away from us! How come I didn't know you were coming?!?!?!
